Description
In South Africa, an impoverished community is struggling to sustain itself.
A refuge for those in need, it houses the homeless, mentally ill, physically disabled, elderly, unemployed, and orphaned. More than 95% of the residents suffer from a mental or physical disability in addition to being jobless. The people are provided three meals a day, education, medication, and housing.
Expenses rely heavily on donation. With almost 200 people under their care, money is low and it is becoming increasingly arduous to take care of everyone. Meanwhile, the waiting list is growing longer and longer.
The future of this community—whether it will remain established or become bankrupt—is unclear. Resources are dwindling if they have not been exhausted already. Any help would be of utmost assistance.
